THE COACH

A career dedicated to endurance performance

Mario de Elías is a former professional triathlete and the head coach of Konadots, with more than twelve years of experience as an endurance coach.

He began his coaching career while still competing at the professional level, founding his first training company, EstiloNegro, where he developed the foundations of the methodology that later shaped Konadots. Throughout his competitive career, Mario coached athletes while simultaneously designing and executing his own training process.

Since 2017, he has served as his own coach, applying a self-directed methodology that led him to become the
first Latin American athlete to complete an Ironman in under eight hours,
achieving a 7h52’02” performance at the Ironman South American Championship in Cozumel. He also qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii and earned multiple podium finishes across long-distance and 70.3 competitions.

After transitioning from professional competition, Mario continues to train and compete as an amateur athlete and is currently qualified for the 2026 World Championship, maintaining first-hand experience of the training process, performance challenges, and long-term development.

Today, Mario leads Konadots’ coaching system through a fully personalized one-to-one virtual model. His approach combines elite-level performance experience, long-term coaching practice, and continuous methodological refinement to guide athletes toward consistent, sustainable performance.
